Historic U.S. Hi-Way 80 Sale
The East Texas Tourism Association sponsored US 80 Event transforms more than 200 miles of historic US Highway 80 into the second largest yard sale in the country. The sale begins in Bossier City, Louisiana and stretches to Grand Prairie on the third full weekend in April and October.
Join the crowd shopping the booths of hundreds of vendors, schools, clubs, churches, and individuals selling everything from tools to toys, baked goods to books, golf clubs to go-carts!

Gather your fishing pole, your binoculars, your hiking shoes and your camping gear and come explore 376 acres of oak forest, more than five miles of lakeshore, and the lake itself.
Boat, fish or swim on the water, kids can fish in the kid fish pond; hike, mountain-bike, go birding or geocaching on land. Reserve a campsite for your tent or RV, or camp with a group.

Shop the world’s largest flea market just 20 minutes from Wills Point in the town of Canton. During the weekend preceding the first Monday of every month, 7,000 vendors cover 300 acres with their wares. Antiques, furniture, clothing—even small livestock—can be found on the Trade Days grounds.

During World War II thousands of British pilots learned to fly at six civilian training schools in the United States. The first and largest of the schools was in Terrell, Texas. After the United States entered the war, American Aviation Cadets also trained at the school. More than 2,000 Royal Air Force and American Army Air Force pilots earned their wings over North Texas between 1941 and 1945. Terrell’s citizens welcomed the student pilots to their community and many life-long bonds were forged. Museum hours are Wed-Sat from 10 AM – 4 PM. Admission is free.
Ham Orchards

Peaches are the fruit that started it all at Ham Orchards. Visit them from mid-May to mid-August to purchase a wide variety of goodies, such as produce, jams, fudge, fresh baked goods, and strawberry and peach ice cream. You can also enjoy peach BBQ from Eddie Deen.
